This graph shows retail sales since 1992. This is monthly retail sales and food service, seasonally adjusted (total and ex-gasoline).  Retail sales are up 18.9% from the bottom, and now 4.5% above the pre-recession peak. . . .


Despite all the dire warnings of an imminent double-dip recession, major economic reports continue to come in better than expected.
